Vegfest 2010 in Tampere from 21st to 23rd of May 2010!

Vegfest 2010 vegan festival will be held from 21st to 23rd of May 2010 at the Central Marketplace (Keskustori) in Tampere.

The purpose of Vegfest is to increase the conspicuousness of vegetarianism and veganism, to increase people's knowledge of the possibilities offered by vegetarianism and to diminish the common prejudices concerning plant-based diets. The question is not only about diet, but about the environment, health, animal rights and common good. Veganism is connected to everything, because everything is connected to veganism!

In the Keskustori event tents there will be e.g. musical performers, workshops and informational statements and also panel discussions. The surrounding area will have presentators from different organizations and companies, and food vendors. Naturally all of these will present animal-friendly products or methods. At Vanha kirjastotalo movies concerning vegetarianism will be shown, and gigs will be held at various places around the city.
